Polypropylene webbing is a soft woven fabric. It is made of thermoplastic resin, it is lightweight and resistant to acids, alkalis, oils and greases.
Polypropylene webbing (or "PP") is a popular strapping material because it is economical and can be used in many of the same applications as nylon. PP is flexible, waterproof, and lightweight, with tensile strengths between 600-1000 pounds, depending on width and manufacturer.
Polypro webbing can be used for items such as life jackets, boat rigging, tent belts and tie down sling. It is also perfect for bag straps, luggage belts and light belts.
